Cryolipolysis, or CoolSculpting, is the latest FDA approved treatment that removes stubborn areas of fat that are resistant to diet or exercise, without the need for surgery or downtime.
An innovative, clinically-proven cooling process that targets only fat cells, Cryolipolysis was developed by leading scientists at the Wellman Centre for Photomedicine in Boston – an affiliate of Harvard Medical School. Because fat freezes at higher temperatures than other cells in the body, fat cells can be targeted and frozen using very cool temperatures without damaging the healthy skin tissue surrounding the areas. The fat cells subject to controlled cooling then freeze, die and crystallise, and are then naturally expelled from the body.

CoolSculpting is the brand name for the clinically-proven method of stubborn fat-cell removal by freezing, otherwise known as Cryolipolysis. Using controlled temperatures, this latest technology can target specific areas of fat to effectively freeze the cells, and destroying them so that they can naturally broken down and expelled from the body. The effect of this is the removal of areas of fat that are not responsive to diet and exercise, to leave you with a more svelte, toned figure. Once the fat cells are gone, they’re gone for good – even if you put on weight after your treatment, the reduced number of existing fat cells will mean that new weight will be more evenly distributed across your body, leaving more attractive appearance.
Once your selected problem areas have been outlined and selected by you in your initial consultation, we will position our CoolSculpting device over the targeted fat cells we wish to remove. During the treatment you can relax, as 90% of clients feel no discomfort whatsoever. You are likely to experience a numbing sensation as your skin is exposed to the controlled temperatures, but this sensation will pass shortly after the treatment.
